Can I Amend a Previous Years Tax Return?

If you need to make changes to a prior year federal tax return that was already e-filed and accepted, you will have to file an amended tax return, Form 1040-X.

Unfortunately, our program does not support amended returns for a prior year. You will have to print and mail a paper copy of the form to the IRS. You can find the prior year Form 1040-X and instructions at: https://www.irs.gov/prior-year-forms-and-instructions?find=1040x
